Locked out right now?
- Check every door and window, and whether a family member, flatmate, landlord or neighbour has a spare key.

- Keep your phone charged and nearby: the locksmith will call to confirm where you are and the price.
- Have ID ready. You'll need to show the property is yours or that you live there.
After a break-in
If your locks have been forced or broken, a locksmith can make the property secure again, repair or replace locks and rekey so stolen keys no longer work. Report break-ins to Police first (105 for non-emergencies) and keep receipts for your insurer.
